ABOUT ME

I've only been in love once, and then she passed away unexpectedly 6 years ago. She was 35. I've had a great support system of family and friends, but it almost feels like I cannot move on unless I do something!! I am now 40 years old, and there are things out there I want to see, so I'm leaving my job and seeing what America has to offer. Any assistance would be appreciated and if I figure where I will settle I would open up my couch. As of right now I have no couch, I sold it because I'm beginning my trip after Labor day. I will mention that I am 6'4", 235lbs, so a long couch might be needed. LOL. I also have a minor allergy to animals that are too furry, but can take pill for that. I don't smoke, do drugs other than otc stufflike vitamins and advil. I am a social drinker, never been in trouble with the law, and am an all around nice guy.

PHILOSOPHY

"Everything happens for a reason." It's a scary thought that something terrible happening to us can serve us in a positive way. Maybe before the bad thing happened, many good things needed to occur BECAUSE the bad thing was inevitable. I'd like to think I made someone happy before they died.

Interessen

I'm still playing in slow pitch softball leagues, have coached Babe Ruth baseball many times. I'm a huge movie fan, and used to be an avid reader and do some writing of my own. I like to cook, am pretty good at troubleshooting computers, and have lived on a small farm so I know how to handle animals and have learned various redneck tricks of the trade.

When I was 15, we were rounding up a couple of bulls in a pasture, I only weighed 150lbs and the bull wieghed 800. It had just flipped one of my brothers friends into the air like a rag doll, and he was a rugged 19 yr old. The bull saw me and charged, I stood my ground and watched the horns, dodged left, grabbed a horn and pulled as hard as I could. I pulled him to the ground, and held him for about ten seconds while everybody was running over, but he got one of his hind legs under him and kicked up, which knocked me back on my feet because I was sitting on him, then he pulled his head away and ran. He never came near me again. Next story, I was 28 and working in a call center doing MSN tech support. A customer came on the phone and was very irate that nobody from Microsoft could figure out why his friend could not recieve documents from his friend, but his friend got the documents he sent. This guy conferenced his friend in, AND explained to me that they had been doing this for weeks and had paid Microsoft in Redmond,WA to fix it, but they could not. I had both men explain to me the programs they were using. The friend was using Outlook, but the MSN customer was using Outlook Express. After a few tries of sending a few different types of documents, excel, Adobe, etc. I asked the friend to go into the properties of Outlook to see what type of format he was using. He was using using Microsoft Rich Text. Since Outlook Express is an html program, I asked the friend to change his format to html, restart the program and then to try and send a document. He did, and it worked! The guy that called must have called Microsoft after, because I ended getting a free software game that hadn't even made it to the store shelves yet. That was cool.

I like people from all walks of life. I don't judge people on beliefs, orientation, or ethnicity, I only go by how they are. I talk to people in a way that will allow them to be open and honest with me as I am to them. I know a little bit about many things and am always willing to share.
