ABOUT ME

After graduating from Arizona State with a degree in Biology in 2013 I have spent the past 2 years teaching Science in Brooklyn, New York. Life and my fiancé brought me back to Arizona where we are currently living. Between the craziness of wedding planning and buying a new house, I am in the process of applying to dental schools. While I am not traveling for pleasure at the moment, I have an appreciation for languages, food and the cultures they come from and I am slowly discovering myself through seeing these other people.

PHILOSOPHY
Learning from books can only take you so far. Learning from people is where the real education begins.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After a great experience with couch surfing in Costa Rica and Spain, I love the community and the need that it provides. While my current living situation in our studio apartment does not afford us the opportunity to host at the moment I owe each of my hosts tremendously which I hope I can repay to others when the time comes. I think this is a great opportunity and I cannot wait to grow more in the community. Currently I am flying all over the country to hopefully find my new home for the next 4 years as I interview at various dental schools.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Amazing experience in costa rica with many people. I have especially enjoyed meeting the families that live with the CS hosts, just talking all day and getting their view on what we should see and what they enjoy most about their country.

Interesses

I love the outdoors and I seeing nature's beauty as well. Hiking, biking and swimming are how I like to spend my free time. I am excited to get to know other people and where they come from.
I have a passion for food and languages and getting to know people by talking to them, because everyone's back ground is so unique and fascinating in its own way.
I LOVE to dance!! Ballroom is my specialty but I love a good milonga and am fascinated by all kinds of dance and I am really eager to learn more.

Raised and molded the minds of 200 9th graders in Brooklyn. While every day brought new challenges I was fortunate to grow through this great experience.

I love to talk and to teach people share american customs while learning about the customs of the place I am in.
I can try to teach english if interested because that is my ultimate goal as a profession.
I want to learn languages and how to interact with people and the subtleties that you can't learn from a book.
