I am a triple crown thru-hiker after completing the Appalachian Trail in 2017, Pacific Crest Trail in 2018, and Continental Divide Trail in 2019. In between the treks I've been a ski instructor in Colorado and will be returning for a couple weeks in March to teach again. During this time I hope to find some folks to crash with

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting people when I travel and it always builds my faith in humanity. I've received so much generousity during my hikes, complete strangers giving me a ride to town from a high pass, feeding me, and even inviting me into their home for the night. I have been trying to convince my fiance that we should start hosting and pay it forward!

Interests

I was a mechanical engineer for a decade, being a cubicle warrior, but I quit to hike across the country a couple times and become a ski instructor. Time to put happiness before paychecks! I recently moved to Austin Texas with my fiance and am exploring the town.

Try to read two books a month, usually murder mysteries or sci-fi but sometimes pepper in some history and nonfiction to learn stuff. Music: all of it. Movies: all of em.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been told hiking all 7600+ miles of the Triple Crown trails is pretty amazing, but it just feels like a ton of walking.
