ABOUT ME

I'€™m Irish-canadian. I was raised in a town near Toronto, Ontario. As a francophile I'€™ve been living in France since 1998. I teach english and beginners' french, love sports and reading writings by some old philosophers. I ran an airbnb home for six months last year and proud that I became a super-host by the end of the season.

I'€™m an easy going and cheerful person. I enjoy a good chat. My idea of fun is outdoor camping, blues bands, irish music and picnicing with great food.

I very much enjoy meeting people, especially those that have travelled to parts of the world that I don't know as yet. I like to listen to their stories.

Interests

When travelling my interests are extremely varied. I really like to meet the locals. Around town I might go see a old film or spend time in second-hand bookshops, I prefer to go out by the sea if possible, walk on the beach, kick a ball around sort of thing, take a boat ride...

I like to read, sit in a sunny café, exchange idle chat with the locals and venture out to see a good blues band or some traditional Irish music.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach French to beginners and english as a second language. I can help out with some building/construction work or gardening.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd like to share a cup of tea and a chat with hosts. If the hosts have a dog, I'd love to walk it, throw sticks !! If they need a hand in the garden or doing an odd job around the house it'd be a pleasure.
If we get on quite "famously" why not go for a coffee. I'm easy going and won't be too busy during my stay, or so I hope !
