ABOUT ME
I am a student working full time as an illustrator and graphic designer. I'm very much into art, bicycling, craft beer (I homebrew!), coffee, music (I play guitar, bass, drums, mandolin, and a little banjo). I am also a huge nerd, so if you're into tabletop gaming or video gaming, I'm right there with you.
I travel mostly with my girlfriend, Alyssa, who works in a public library while studying to be a neuroscientist.
Here are some websites showing you that she isn't a crazy fraudster:

Music, Movies, and Books
We both read a lot, though Alyssa is probably a bit more bookish than I am.
Science fiction is a must, particularly classic greats like Ray Bradbury, Isaac Asimov, Philip K. Dick. A lot of russian literature, we met talking about Nabokov...
We mostly read only the most awesome books by the best authors.
As far as music, I'm constantly on the prowl for new bands and have an encyclopedic iTunes (current rotation: Built to Spill, Sly & The Family Stone, The Dismemberment Plan and O Brother). Alyssa tends more towards 60's pop (Emitt Rhodes, Kinks, Velvet Underground), riotgrrl, and punk.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I flew to Brazil without knowing any Portuguese by myself when I was 19.
On my first major bicycle tour, I rode 120 miles to Champaign-Urbana in one day. Definitely hard work!
I just wrapped up recording my first "real" album with a band I've been playing with, which feels pretty cool!
Alyssa:
Kevin and I recently took a weekend course together to learn how to operate motorcycles, which was really neat. (The extent of our motorcycle knowledge before taking the class was basically, that they had two wheels.)
Getting into shape to take extended day trips on a bike, and this upcoming tour to Milwaukee!
Planning out and executing my first experiment.
Learning enough Russian to be mediocre at it. : )
