Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This is my first time outside of North America, so I'm really looking forward to exploring Europe! I'd love to make friends around the world, as well as get to know your cities through the locals. I'll start hosting once I get back home to Canada in July!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love pretty much all music spanning from 50s Free Jazz to 90s Indie Rock, 60s Psychedelia to 80s Hip Hop, 70s Prog to 2000s Bedroom Pop, and everything in between. There isn't much I haven't played over the 5 years of hosting my radio show!

I did a Film Studies minor during my undergrad, and I'm typically a big fan of experimental movies (French New Wave, Italian Neorealism, American Indie, etc.), but I'm willing to watch anything!

As per my degree, I usually read non-fiction (history, philosophy, political theory) but I'm also a big fan of the Beats, 19th century lit (the Russians, French, you know the deal), and I'm slogging my way through the canon. You will usually find me curled up with Frankfurt school critical theory.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to play guitar in unconventional tunings, give a spiel on anything related to the history of political philosophy, and show you some great music you've never heard before. Not the most practical skills, but I'll share what I can!
