ABOUT ME

I have just graduated from university and I am looking to go on an adventure. I have lived in and visited the British Isles on several occasions, and now I want to explore continental Europe. I am planning a trip to England, Spain, France, and Germany very soon, and am hoping to use Couch Surfing not only to find a place to stay, but also as a way of gaining local insight regarding the cities I visit.

PHILOSOPHY

I think the most important things in life are to enjoy yourself, experience as many new things as possible as often as possible, and never to take things too seriously.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just joined, but to start off I hope to surf my way across France. Once I have returned home to Canada, I would be open to the idea of hosting. I also have future plans to move to South Korea, and would be available to host surfers there as well!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This will be my first time using CouchSurfing, so no stories to relate yet! I do have many friends who have used it in the past, and all of them had wonderful things to say about their experiences.

Interests

I really enjoy travel, exploring new cities, nature, reading, films, playing music, watching and/or playing baseball, and watching ice hockey.

My favourite movies are Westerns and Film Noir.

My favourite music is Blues.

My favourite authors are Evelyn Waugh and Charles Bukowski.

My favourite poets are Thomas Hardy and William Blake.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen whales swimming off the coast of Newfoundland and have fed alligators in the bayou of Louisiana.

I can play several instruments, so if you have a guitar, bass, or banjo I would be happy to play some music with you! I also really enjoy talking about books, so if you are looking for a good read I can recommend something for you if you are interested.
