CURRENT MISSION

I want to help people... that's basically it. I plan on doing this by becoming a doctor.

ABOUT ME

So I was required to take this test called "StrengthsQuest" one time, and my top five strengths, according to the test, are Includer, Relator (relates well to others I think?), Adaptability, Ideation ("gets excited by ideas"... what a lame strength), and Developer ("identifies and fosters the strengths of others"). I think that this describes me a bit, but, like any personality assessment, it's far from being complete or completely accurate, so here are other ways I'd describe myself:
I am interested in almost everything, and I really like listening because of that; I enjoy listening to and creating music, and also watching and playing sports; I am fascinated by how things work, and like figuring out... stuff, in general; I really value family, especially mine, and also just connections I make with people; and I'm pretty easygoing.
So I guess I'll stop because this is starting to sound like one of those ads people put on dating services... Oh and I love to travel. As does probably anyone who is on CouchSurfing...

This seems too hard to answer right now. Maybe I'll come back to it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Since the U.S. unfortunately doesn't have a hostel system like those in Europe, South America, etc., this seems to be the closest alternative. I also really like the fact that it's such people-based travel, and it allows you to make connections with all sorts of different people, wherever you go. Yeah that's about it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had nothing but good experiences so far. I've only hosted, but I've enjoyed getting to know everyone who's passed through the StL and stayed on my couch. I'm looking forward to crashing on some couches myself in the near future.

Interessi

My problem with trying to decide what to do with my life has been that I'm interested in a whole lot of different things, and I consider myself a dabbler. However, these general interests are ones that have been constant throughout my life: Nature, Sports, Music, Language, How things work, Other cultures, Travel... and food.

Movies: City of God, The Shawshank Redemption, Life is Beautiful, Undercover Brother, Bab'Aziz, Requiem for a Dream, Seven Samauri...
Music: Soul and Funk are what I'm most interested in right now, meaning I really like Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Etta James, James Carr, and Funkadelic. My favorite artists are probably Jimi Hendrix, Bill Withers, The Rolling Stones, The Temptations, and Etta James. My musical interests are pretty mainstream, but I enjoy a wide variety of artists.
