Interests

I read a lot (poetry, fiction, and nonfiction). I love my dog more than anything and spend a ton of time outside with him (hiking, biking, running, swimming, or just playing). Good music invigorates me (recently this has been old folk and old blues, though I'm also a sucker for several more contemporary bands and songwriters).

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Delta blues, Appalachian folk, old-timey banjo, etc. All-time favorites: Mississippi John Hurt, Townes Van Zandt, Hank Williams, Hold Steady, Mountain Goats, and Tallest Man on Earth.

Books - Give me poetry, give me crazed fiction, give me environmental nonfiction and cultural studies.
