About Me
CURRENT MISSION
See the world. Be the world.
ABOUT ME
I've recently caught the travel bug and hope to fit in many travels soon.
I'm big on spirituality, but subscribe to no religion. I hope to learn much about meditation and yoga in the next few years and hopefully will forward that knowledge on to others who are interested. Though both introspective and contemplative, I love people. I'm usually down to do anything, and am laid-back. I go with the flow. My life passion is to help and be available to others. I also find life is to be enjoyed and usually find myself laughing or smiling for no reason at all much of the day.
I'm into music, biking, reading, playing. I play drums a little bit and fiddle on the acoustic guitar from time to time. I spent most of my early life playing baseball and still do so in recreation.
In the next few years I hope to travel Asia and South America, teach English in Asia, and possibly become a volunteer with the Peace Corps. From there, not sure. Undoubtedly life will take many unanticipated turns. I appreciate the earth and like to be active on it.
I have a terrible memory but am good with numbers. I'll probably develop lung cancer from a saturation of incense smoke.
Peace :O)
PHILOSOPHY
philosophy living by: non-duality, which is, there is no separation in reality.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I recently joined CS. I've yet to Surf but am up to begin, and am available to meet up and show folks around. I live in a shoebox in Seattle, so hosting would be difficult due to space.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Only CS experience I've had has been while on tours while playing in a band. We'd crash at places of people who attended shows. Haven't participated in CS yet. Let's do this!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I've ever seen is a group of people come together for a common cause and belief to better the state of the world. I've been a part of and witnessed a few protests in my life, and every one has brought me to tears. To me, it's truly beautiful and inspiring to see people advocating for change outside of their immediate selves. I think this is perfect example of the inter-connected nature of reality.
Teach, Learn, Share
A few pieces of advice:
I recently began building a house with my dad. It hurts when fingers are hit with hammers.
I also recently cut off a chunk of skin on my arm while trying to slice a block of cheddar cheese. Always cut away from yourself.
Most important philosophical advice I can give: Based on readings from Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj and others, in essence, nothing is separate. All is one. Cliche, but true and important to be aware of when confronted with the problems constructed in the mind/ego.
What I would like to learn? Anything and everything.
