Hello lovely host we might meet,

We are new here on CS and really want to get start to this wonderful experience!

I am Kexin(26 years old) and my boyfriend is Yufei (28 years old). We are from China, just started our gap year and plan to travel around the world( or at least half of the world haha) in 1-2 years.

Under the mainstream value in China, what we should do at this age is working hard, making money, buying a house and building up a family. So lots of people say we are crazy to give up a stable job in home country and go abroad, but we are pretty clear that what we want is to explore more possibilities when we are still young, before everything settle down. We believe life is not a track, but a wilderness.

In daily life, we are both open-minded and easy-going people.
Yufei was a game designer before , and also a super fan of video games like Dota, Overwatch, the Legend of Zelda, and many board games like Terraforming Mars，7 Wonder Duel and so on. He's good at bring fun to friends and create some surprise~
Kexin was a financial journalist before, always have curiosity towards new things and want to know more ways of life. Besides journalist, her super dream job is wildlife photographer!! Although it's a little bit hard to realize, but at least she can add Africa into the list of travel destination hahaha^-^

Oh and we are also running our own channel on Chinese social media platform, with some vlogs recording our gap year life. It's also a way for us to explore our possibilities! 我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

We have heard CS for a long time but never have a chance to try it. We really want to have an experience like this to make my journey more colorful!
Traveling for us is not just about how many countries we have been, how many spots we have seen, but more about having truly memorable new experience and meet with different and interesting people on the way. And we are sure that's exactly the idea of CS.
I believe after our travel around the world when we back to China, we would be very open to host guest if you pass by my country!

音乐、电影和书籍

It really depends on our emotion to choose the music/movie/books. Generally we have similar taste, prefer music with poetic lyrics, movie reflecting some thoughts or reality world, and any books which can give us a new perspective.

The books I read recently are all about Europe, like Europe history, travel literature. I really want to know more about this place haha. The movie we saw recently is the Honeyland, a documentary filmed in North Macedonia, about relationship between people and nature, people and people. Strongly recommend it to you if you are interested in such topics!

Our: Giving up a stable work and future perspective, choose to open the door of the world to be a traveler!

Yufei: added my own ideas into the games; host board games for my friends and create fun together;

Kexin: went to remote villages in China to observe and record the improvement of the lives of the people there.
