ABOUT ME
Hi. I am Kezban. Family and friends tend to call me Kez or Kezi.
I was born and spent part of my childhood in Cyprus but I'd call myself a Londoner as this is the place where I've spent a large part of my life.
I am a teacher and this has allowed me to travel quite a bit as well as giving me the chance to live in other countries, more recently Istanbul (amazing city) for seven years. At the moment I am back in London, working as Co-ordinator for an educational Charity. I am taking a couple of months off in December 2011 to go on a big trip - Visiting San Francisco, New Zealand from LA, Australia and the Far East. Can't wait.
I am quite laid back when travelling (and at other times) preferring to mainly just take in the atmosphere of a place rather than tick boxes. Above all, meeting other individuals along the way is what most makes the travelling experience worthwhile for me.
PHILOSOPHY
'A ship is safe in harbour but that's not what ships are for'. I don't know who this quotation belongs to but I like it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have couchsurfed in Sri Lanka and hosted couchsurfers while living in Istanbul. A positive experience each time.
Interests
I spend a lot of my time reading- I can't do without my books!
I love Art and like to dabble in some painting and drawing.
Love animals, going for nature walks, trying different foods and also enjoy a good conversation about random topics. I'm also bit of film buff.

Music, Movies, and Books
There are so many books, films and music that I love that I wouldn't know where to start.
At this very moment I'm listening to Jeff Buckley's 'Lilac wine' (beautiful song) and just finished reading Coetzee's 'Disgrace' which I thought was marvellous.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Difficult to think of just one right now.The most seemingly mundane and everyday things can be quite amazing, e.g The colours of the leaves around me as I was walking to the bus stop this morning...
