ABOUT ME

With a love for everything ocean, I have followed my passion for teaching and the fair seas to some amazing places and adventures. I'll be travelling in New Zealand and Australia for the next couple months and am hoping to meet some new friends along the way.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to CouchSurfing but am no stranger to couch-surfing in my travels. One of my favorite travel stories starts with striking up a conversation with a guy on a plane, who invited me to stay with his family for the night and ends with some amazing karoake with a 10-year old.

兴趣

Pretty much all ocean-related activities: SCUBA diving, free diving, sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, swimming, underwater basket weaving (actually never done that but have always wanted to try underwater pumpkin-carving?). I like to travel, adventure, explore, hike, visit museums, dance like no one is watching (but salsa dance like some one is), listen to music, read good books (and occaisionally bad ones).

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

There are so many amazing things in this world! One character trait I hope I never lose is the ability to be awe-struck by even the most mundane things in life. But i have experienced some incredible moments- choosing one: summitting Mt. Kilimanjaro.

I'm a teacher by trade and am passionate about what I teach (marine biology, sailing, SCUBA diving)- so I challenge you NOT to learn something by being around me. I geek out from time to time on marine science stuff- so you'll probably learn at least an interesting tidbit to bring up at cocktail parties.
