ABOUT ME

i like fiddling in my paint box, drawing obscure objects and filling the lines in with water colours. i like cafe con leche and herb gardens.

social discourse theory feeds my creative habit. reading french theorists feeds by intellectual habit. watching films that aren't a waste of time feed by laid back habit. learning new things from people i meet (esp. skills!) feeds my student habit.

im a diamond way buddhist and like like to meditate.
i can canoe very well, not many people know that. live acoustic sets in coffee shops/bars downtown are cool, so is being ridiculous. when i want to be serious i try to pair my wine with food. if you stay at my place you can expect to drink a lot of tea/wine/coffee/pear juice.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i couchsurfed my way around nova scotia, as well as paris, and every corner of spain, berlin too. best way to meet the most fantastic people in the cities you visit. i have had some other encounters on couch surfing as well that have turned into beautiful friendships. i have hosted a constant flow of travellers in granada too.

more recently in budapest i've met/showed around a few wanderlusting travellers and i hope there will be more to come.

Algo increíble que he hecho

i saw picasso's guernica... it brought everyting into perspective for me and my artistic side. i called home immediately from madrid and cancelled my university applications, changed them, and send them off again. i think my parents still think it was a little impulsive. im indifferent. art is what i breathe. if you ever go to madrid make it a priority to visit the reina sofia museum.

you know, i always wanted to learn how to knit socks, i have failed miserably everytime i have tried. (update: i have successfully knit one pair of socks!)
