My fiancé Nick and I are relatively new to Brooklyn, moving from Chicago. We are both Couchsurfing fans and hosting guests in our 400 sq. ft. apartment seems like a fun challenge!

I work in the bicycle industry and love it! Things that get me super excited are bike rides, never owning a car again, and talking about the same evolution of transportation and city design. Nick is a product manager working in tech.

Nick plays ultimate frisbee in his free time and we are both fans of camping / getting out to nature. When we aren't in Brooklyn, we are probably camping in our Van.

I knew I would love couchsurfing when my first stay ended with an improv show and a marathon with the comedy team the next day! I love hosting as a chance to give back, meet new people and either experience the city like a tourist again or give travelers the local experience!

Our home is a cozy flat and you'll find yourself at home on either a couch or a twin size air mattress. Because our apt is a typical Brooklyn size 1bedroom, we prefer to host one or two guests, with a max of 2 nights. We try accept guests when we’re going to be around to show off the city, but will be upfront if it doesn't look like we’ll be around too much during your stay.

Kelly - I love being outdoors. This means lots of biking, hiking, camping, running and anything on the water. (Still trying to find someone to teach me to water ski though!) I also love a good board game nights, comedies with strong female leads, and a liberal use of GIFs in messages.

Nick - Ultimate frisbee, photography, space

Kelly - Drove the Wienermobile, ran a marathon (x10), jumped out of a plane, climbed to the top of the Sears Tower.
Nick - Played frisbee around all of Europe, couchsurfing along the way.
