About Me

Old ole Canadian with some South American flavour as my mother is from Bolivia. I am named after the national flower of Bolivia - Kantuta (my mom switched up the spelling a little). Easy-going, love meeting new people and debating over how cold it "actually" gets in Canada.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Have lived in Montreal my entire life, as of Sept 2015 I have been blessed to be living in France. I've lived in Bordeaux and now Strasbourg for my Phd. I am looking to make the most of it by travelling, meeting great people and seeing amazing things!

Interests

Live music, sports, reading, science, FOOOOOOD, artisanal beers, dancing my little heart out and doing all these things with a smile!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music-if it gets my feet moving, Movies - rom coms and I am not ashamed of saying it but always obscure indie movies, books - anything Jhumpa Lahiri writes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't necessary considered the things I do for others as amazing but just being kind and helpful. My personal gem is when I organized a conference for future women in engineering. 110 high school girls attended a one day conference to learn more about engineering as a profession and a study. It was great to see girls fall in love or consider a male-dominated field of study after never really considering it prior to the conference

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach - how to balance a spoon on your nose - soccer (football tricks), Learn - I am like a sponge - Share - my smile
