About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Local travel, camping, and tomfoolery... deciding on India or Croatia for late summer.
ABOUT ME
I am a wine-making environmetnalist hiker from West (by god) Virginia. I enjoy living here in DC/NOVA because of the sheer amount that is going on, but I also miss the clean smell of the mountains. Out in the world beyond my doorstep I am constantly torn between exploring the cities; all their hidden placed, their glitzy places, and most of all their people. And a land's wild places, the moutains, forsests, and back woods.
PHILOSOPHY
A Cynical Skeptic Environmental Social Idealist. or something like that.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I started surfing in Europe, was amazed/startled/comepletely unprepared for the experience of strangers letting me into their homes. Since I only travel far afield once or twice a year, I appreciate hosting for bringing the wider world to my door in little backpacker-sized bites.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My CS experience has been great and I want to try and share my amazing experience. Been out of the loop for a while, and now that I have moved into a new house I hope to have more people stopping by!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watched a spider spin a web for an hour in the rain.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am an assistant martials instructor, but it typically take smore than a weekend to pick that up. On the other hand, catch me on a camping weekend and I will make you a pro. I am up for learning more Italian, French and Korean (mainly by just chatting). Lastly, if you surf my place and know anything about wine (including how to drink it), we can decend into the basement and sample my initial attempts (up to 7 varieties now) and discuss how to make it better.
