***PLEASE NOTE: I'm getting far too many requests to host, which means there is only a tiny chance that I will accept your request. But if you feel strongly about wanting to meet me, then feel free to write. I'm a sucker for an outstanding CS request!***
"A human being is a part of the whole, called by us the 'Universe', a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separate from the rest - a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. Nobody is able to achieve this completely, but the striving for such achievement is in itself a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security." Albert Einstein
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was lucky enough to be around to be part of the project when it was just beginning. It changed my life.
I know that everything is different now. And it's nothing short of heartbreaking. Couchsurfing is not what it was, and I understand there's a very real possibility that it won't exist in years to come. Although it's more difficult than ever to find people who are equally passionate about Couchsurfing, or what it was, I just can't bring myself to shut down my profile.
I hope that I'll be able to come across a few like-minded souls, here and there. I know of no better place :)
