I am a traveler at heart. Raised by hippie-republican-physicians from Oklahoma, I spent a good part of my life backpacking, driving around the USA, and general family travel. During these trips, my parents would read to me, and my father would tell his own originally crafted tale. This combination of traveling and stories has pushed me to travel, read, and write. I like to go out drinking too, don't get me wrong, my idea of tourism is hanging out with locals, walking with locals, talking with locals, but most importantly, learning from locals. I am interested in the world on a large scale, and to understand the macro, one must begin with the micro.

Every time I realize I am alive and not lost in the wreckage of history is a winning moment to be sure. There is a beautiful lake in the Shasta mountain range, one hell of a hike but every moment I was at that place I felt something beyond words.
