ABOUT ME

Ahhh, the Biography... Here goes...

I grew up in Dubbo NSW (the place in NSW with the good Zoo) and moved to the coast when I was 16. Spent the last 10 years kicking around wollongong, just got back from travelling through South America with a bunch of my best friends and decided it was time to see my own Backyard.

I'm also a musician, been playing around wollongong and sydney for the last 10 years as a frontman for various rock bands and cover bands.

Now I've got a new album coming out and I decided to combine my 3 favourite things: Travelling, Playing Music and Partying.. So I'm doing a tour of Australia starting in January 2011 and finishing whenever I make enough money to retire, and hopefully meeting some amazing people along the way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After South America me and 3 of the guys decided we couldn't return to the monotony of our parents houses so we moved in to a bachelor pad in Wollongong and decided to open our house to anyone and everyone who needed a couch, to date we've had over 10 different people of all nationalities staying with us. It's been epic.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Probably my favourite was the weekend just passed, we had 2 russian backpackers staying with us for the weekend and we went out for a Christmas Pub crawl on the Saturday night, all kitted out in the Jolly suit and ornaments, and on the sunday decided to turn the backyard into a pool party complete with backyard bathtub and detergent covered tarp (water slide!!). Epic.

Interests

Writing Music. Driving with the window down, music cranked along a beach/mountain. Meditating. Drinking Jack. Drinking Kopparberg Pear Cider on a hot sunday to cure a saturday night. Drinking red wine. Drinking vodka. And patron cafe. Always patron cafe.. Playing pool at the pub with your best mates. Waking up after a big night and trying to pull your head together long enough to remember where you are before the white light hits and the hangover kicks in haha. (I'm not really an alcoholic, I swear!) I like work, and I enjoy the sense of completion. Motorbikes, extreme sports (so long as my feet are on or near the ground) and generally just meeting new people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Macchu Pichu was pretty epic (though the 4 day hike up a cliff left a lot to be desired). Cristo de Redento @ Rio de Janeiro is something I'll never forget either.
