I'm Kian. I recently got my master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and I plan to travel around Iran for a while. I love exploring nature and I recently took a liking to multi day hiking witch I'm gonna pursue in the future. I'm an optimist and idealist (and sometimes i hate that I'm this way!) and even though I don't entirely follow a school of thought, my world view is close to Sufism. I'm a pretty isolated person in general but I enjoy meeting people from different cultures who can broaden my world view.

Interests

Music is my main interest. I spend hours listening to music and researching about it. I’ve been listening to music seriously for about 10 years and I steel get amazed by the new material I find.
I also love watching tv series (especially sitcoms and animation) when I need to relax.
Being a video game geek when I was younger, I still enjoy a good video game. Especially one with a good story or an interesting gameplay. I mostly play indie games now, but my favorite genre is role playing.
I used to watch anime and read manga. There is still some anime I love to watch but I haven’t watched any for so long...
I love board games. I’ve also been the dungeon master for our dnd group a few years back!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love English language music in general. I've listened to a wide verity of music genres from Regional Blues to Electronic music but I mostly enjoy music that has close connections to roots music. I can say that my top 3 artists are Bob Dylan, Beatles and Sonic Youth.
Movies are not one of my biggest hobbies. though I have watched my share of great movies. I love the works of Jim Jarmusch, Stanley Kubrick and Akira Kurosawa. my most loved movies are Death Man, Ikiru, Paths of Glory.
I started reading books relatively recently. i mostly red Russian literature and I love the works of Tolstoy and Turgenev (who has the same birthday as me :) ). This is my Goodreads page:
