About Me

CURRENT MISSION

The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return

ABOUT ME

I'm calm, I like fruits, arts, reading, and - surprise surprise - traveling. I'm also interested in economics, maps and statistics and I'm currently doing a PhD immigration and health inequalities in Europe.

PHILOSOPHY

Life doesn't last long enough to live it and understand it. You gotta choose.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here because I'm curious about other people's lives and CS is a good tool to meet people that aren't similar to me, that have a different background than mine and that live their life in a different way. I like that.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The first people I've hosted were Raph and Jules at the very beginning of their world tour. That was really fun and I suggest you to check out their Circul-R project: www.circul-r.com

Interests

I'm into nature, bikes, yoga, vegetarian/vegan cuisine, politics, statistics. I like to walk, chill in the parks. Good books make me happy and I can go on reading for hours.

I like cycling trips and other environmentally-friendly ways to travel. I also enjoy hiking in the mountains. I love when travelling makes me feel connected with the nature, with the here and present.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read all I can get my hands on, which might be random stuff - particularly on holiday. My favourite author used to be Dostoevskji, but I've recently been into Eric Fromm's psychology and Zizek's disillusioned view on current mankind's situation.

I have a soft spot for Italian song writers, above all De Andrè. I like the most songs that mean something and of which I can learn the lyrics and sing (although I'm quite bad at that). Besides from this, I do listen to/dance everything.

I am a big fan of Tarantino and its splatter blood, of Hitchcock for his innovative photography and direction, of Miyazaki for his poetry and imagination, of Kubrick because of his genius mixed with madness, of Moretti for his political views and irony, of (the early) Woody Allen for his humor and dialogues, of Kusturica for the happiness of the little things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I climbed the highest sand dune in Europe (if you are wondering, it's in France) and got to see an incredible and never ending sunset on the ocean from up there, with a full moon rising behind me...
