Overview
About Me
I want to explore the world in any way that I can.
I'm an outgoing person that always likes to meet new people and go on adventures to push the limits of my comfort zone.
At the moment I only speak English but want try to learn new languages and experience different cultures.
I am currently near to Lyon in France on a 4,500 mile trip (on a longboard) across the continent. The trip is for a charity aptly named "Kieran Armstrong Longboarding for Little Hearts. Facebook page >> https://www.facebook.com/KieranLongboardingforlittlehearts?fref=ts
After saving enough money, I decided to leave work and travel Europe for a cause and a charity that means a lot to me. I would love to meet a lot of welcoming and open people to become a part of my story! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd like to meet new people and spend time with locals in order to get a feel for the culture of the countries I will visit. It will be a great way to make new friends from all walks of life.
Interests
I love freeride longboarding, I could spend hours just going from place to place, admiring the scenery, appreciating the natural environments and that's the reason I travel by longboard so that I can fully take it all in.
I also love to cook, and learning new ways of cooking using different and unusual ingredients is always fun, especially if you haven't made something before and it turns out to be quite tasty!
So I'll be more than happy to help make delicious meals for everyone - if you are happy to be Guinea pigs :P

Music, Movies, and Books
I can't really say I have a favourite type of music as there is far too much to choose from. I love movies that keep me guessing as to what will happen next. Predictability is quite annoying and is quite common in many Hollywood films.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2012, on the spur of the moment, I travelled to Scotland without knowing anyone except my travel companion and managed to stay up there for a year meeting new people.
We both spent half the time living on the hills and climbing the mountains.
Just exploring the wild.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd be more than happy to teach and learn new cooking skills, to learn a new language would be great, even just a few phrases will help me during my trip and of course I can always help you with your English. (My accent might be hard to understand at first!)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm happy to share and be involved in anything I can.
