About Me
ABOUT ME
Canadian that is currently living in the UK while I work on a new project.
I'm a pretty easy guy to live with, I grew up with 10 siblings...so I am used to not having a lot of personal space and learning to appreciate different people and different personalities. I have moved around a fair bit in my life and lived in many places...so I have also learned to seek out and celebrate the differences in the people I meet.
I have spent a fair bit of time working and living in remote places across the Canadian North as a filmmaker and a field biologist. As a result I have a deep sense of appreciation and wonder for the stillness of these lands, they have become an important part of me.
I like to be outside as much as I can...I pursue adventure where I can find it and love many of the outdoor sports: climbing, skiing, biking, paddling. But am also pretty good at just chilling out with a good book. I play guitar and like to sing, but may be lousy at it and suspect my friends are just too nice to tell me (well, most of them anyway...).
PHILOSOPHY
Hmm, hard questions here...can I say: "In progress?"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Only a little, I have hosted only once so far but have been gone so much lately that I haven't been able to do it again. I have spent a lot of time wandering around recently and am just now settling back into my lovely Yukon cabin. It is a good place to share with appreciative folks and I like the idea of being able to do so now that I am going to stay put for a while.
My father used to pick up travellers hitchhiking on the highway and bring them home for a place to stay when I was a kid (before things like couchsurfing existed). I always loved meeting those travellers and hearing their stories. I would like to continue that tradition.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I see amazing and wonderful things everyday...we all do if we pay attention.
Teach, Learn, Share
I think that what we have to teach and learn from each other becomes apparent when we meet. There is nothing in particular I would request in advance, nor is there anything I would presume to teach in you before I know you...though I am sure we will have things to share when we meet.
