Resumen
Sobre mí
My name is Kieren and I come from Adelaide in South Australia. I am passionate about trying new foods, keeping fit, meeting new people and enjoying the most out of life. I am a cook by profession and I love creating new dishes and sharing them with others
In July 2021 I decided to have a career break and leave Australia to go on a Working Holiday through New Zealand. In November 2022 I went on an extended trip through parts of the Mediterranean, the Caucasus and the Middle East. In early 2025 I began my next extended trip through Asia
I enjoy meeting new people, learning about other cultures, trying amazing food and to challenge myself by doing things I haven't done before! It would be great to catch up with anyone in the CS community wherever that may be in the world!
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
I would love to meet fellow travellers and local people willing to accept me into their homes. As an eager backpacker and world traveller I would like to occasionally live with the local people and learn more about their country. I believe we can all learn and benefit from each other's knowledge and experiences, despite our language and cultural differences. It would be great while staying in a new country to have someone introduce me to their local area or city to see where I can find some of the 'off the beaten path' attractions and great local food!

I tend to be most interested by speculative fiction when it comes to reading novels, and some books I have really enjoyed reading over the years include:
- '1984' by George Orwell

Algo increíble que he hecho
Becoming a member of an international 'Star Wars' costuming group known as the 501st Legion, and building my own Stormtrooper costume. When I used to be a member of the group, we would wear our Star Wars costumes to raise money for charities and to make people smile, because there is not enough enjoyment in the world :)
Below is a link showing a picture of me in my Stormtrooper costume in the Adelaide Airport while following a little boy in a NASA outfit. Very cute!

Enseña, aprende, comparte
As English is my first language I can provide knowledge about English. I can also provide information about common exercises and fitness routines (I have no qualifications in fitness, but I have a lot of knowledge about fitness due to my past experience from when I used to have a Personal Trainer)
I would love to learn: new languages, your culture and traditions, and the best places to find local street food
What I can share: what life is like in Australia, my enthusiasm, friendliness and my respect and gratitude for your home
Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones
A positive and friendly attitude, happy to help with chores and housekeeping, someone to have a conversation with, providing knowledge about what life in Australia is like :)
