About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To help to save those who are unable to save themselves

ABOUT ME

UPDATE! I haven't been on here for a while. I've just moved to Bangkok. I have a new condo but it's fairly compact with limited space. Hence, I won't be able to host many people or for long periods of time. But as always I'll do my best to help. :)

Hi, I'm Kieron, and I'm not very scary... even with tattoos!

Couch Surfing... well, this is a first! i've just moved into a lovely apartment on the river in central London and it's just too nice not to share! I'm not a typically greedy person (unless it involves me eating your ice cream), so I thought it was only right to share it on the occasion with some fun loving people!

I'm very easy going and kind and I'm never happy unless I'm making someone else happy. I'm considerate to others and love meeting like-minded, friendly, funny and cool people.

People in my life have described me (using a Johari window) as: intelligent, knowledgable, calm, friendly, logical, independent, clever, helpful, observant, relaxed, witty, able, cheerful, dependable, reflective, self-assertive, trustworthy, accepting, caring, confident, giving, idealistic, organised, adaptable, kind, patient, proud, responsive...

My work as an IT professional/entrepreneur, is both technical and creative - if you want to know more (about that or anything else) then feel free to ask.

PHILOSOPHY

"Promise me you will not spend so much time treading water and trying to keep your head above the waves that you forget, truly forget, how much you have always loved to swim."

Tyler Knott Gregson

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like to offer a great space to some lovely people in need of a place to stay.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted quite a few surfers in December and have met some great people so far.

Interests

- Music (hip hop, soul, funk, chillout/ambient, Fat Freddy's Drop, Kool and the Gang, Notorious BIG etc)
- Movies (It has to have a plot of some sort and make my brain work at least a little bit).
- Comedy - Billy connolly, Bill Hicks, Eddie Izard, Chris Rock
- Interesting Technology/gadgets
- going to gigs, and music/cultural festivals/exhibitions
- Eating out - very partial to visiting great restaurants or gastro pubs. Massive lover of Italian wine and food.
- Keen Sound engineer and music producer (previous employment but now just for fun)
- Mentalistic swimmer - Hoping to swim the English Channel in 18 months for Great Ormaond Street Hospital
- Fitness is important for a healthy body and mind! - I love to work out most days and enjoy cycling when I can
- Earning money (mostly IT and marketing specific)
- Spending money (that's what it's there for!)
- Occasional random trips abroad to random places at random times of the year. I'm a little spontaneous
- A sense of humour is essential. Don't take yourself too seriously...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Swimming the Solent (Southampton to Isle of White) and raising £5000 for terminally ill children.
- Diving with Bullsharks in Costa Rica.
- Riding a Honda Fireblade 1000cc around nurburgring race track (a little too quickly).
- Jumping out of an airplane over coolangatta, Australia with a crazed loon strapped to my back and free falling for 45 sec over stunning Australian coastline (will not be doing it again).
- DJing to 15,000 people at the Riverside Club in Cape Town with the Chemical Brothers and Paul Van Dyke on New Years Eve.
- Taking my Mum to Italy for a surprise birthday present.
- Feeding stray cats prime chicken fillet on a beach in Turkey
- Discovering that a pinhead-sized piece of a neutron star would weigh over 100 million tons
-The highest speed ever achieved on a bicycle is 166.94 mph, by Fred Rompelberg!
- The Mayans used to calculate time by the length of time it took to boil a potato!
