About Me

to build a world wide network of contacts!

My biggest fault is being a little shy when I first meet someone, but after I get to know them, I think I'm pretty cool to be around. I like to go out and have fun, but it usually takes a bit at first to get me in the mood. Perhaps I'm just a late night person. I'm not usually one to break the ice either.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I haven't had much surfing experience, only hosting, although I'd like to change that.

Cooking, Swimming, video games, yoga, tai chi and travel. I travel a lot. I may not be home to host someone. Gay couchsurfers are welcome.

The Sweetest Thing, The rocky horror picture show.

The Secret Life of Bees

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wrote a professional mathematics paper and presented it at an International Conference in Montreal, Canada.

I attended Barack Obama's first inauguration.

I sang the national anthem before a Washington Nationals game (MLB) twice. I've performed on stage at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. as well as Lincoln Center in New York City.

I sang back-up for Margaret Chou at the National Theater in Washington, D.C.

I was on the stage behind George W. Bush when he announced his initial presidential campaign run. (it was a favor for my friend when I was in college) The benefit for me was that I got to meet Cokie Roberts.

I sang on the same stage as Lady Gaga at the National Marriage Equality rally in Washington, DC. (My picture is from there)

I attended a world premier of an opera and had a friend in the cast.

I've skydived out of an airplane at 13,000 feet above the ground and have dual citizenship with the United States and the European Union.

I studied in Mannheim, Germany as an undergraduate and St Petersburg, Russia as a graduate student.
