ABOUT ME

Hey there! I am new to couch surfing! A friend of mine was telling me about it a couple years ago and it sounded like a fabulous idea at the time! My life at the time didn't require it and I certainly couldn't host, but these days my whole world has been going thru some pretty profound changes ... And my mind is broadening to all my potential and all the ways I can live life to my fullest! The most striking feature about me that everyone picks up on in their first impression of me is my bubbly, outgoing, fun-loving, high energy and POSITIVE attitude. I make friends wherever I go! I love to socialize! Enjoy talking and listening to people! Everyone has something to teach and something to learn and connecting with others, whether it be to share a yoga or running session or simply sit over wine and discuss deeper things... I love people and I guarantee I'm great to be around! I am 36, recently separated after 19 years, and have three smart, gifted, beautiful children. Josiah is going to be 18 this week! Isaiah is 16, and Mikaila is 12. Career wise, well that is interesting... I've always been the "provider" for my family, and my career experience is vast. I've owned my own very successful wedding cake business, earned my B.Ed and taught high school, and spent my last 5 years doing sales earning on average an annual income of 6 figures...BUT, recently my priorities have flipped upside down. The new man in my life is very caring and warm and wants to see me pursue my longtime dream of becoming a real estate agent... And to do that, he allows me to be with my children and focus on studying... So I quit my job as a salon consultant and since then have been a stay at home and man am I loving it!! My greatest passion is running! And reading! And wine! Well, I hope this gives you a pretty good idea of what I'm about! I look forward to this couch surfing experience and hope to be a great host!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Moving up north for a couple years... And on day one the colourful northern lights danced above me so close I felt I could touch them! Wow!! I cried! And the whole 2 years I was there, I never grew tired of the amazing spectacle!
- Driving to Vancouver for the first time, being surrounded by all those tress and the majestic mountains, I cried again! I saw my first mountain at age 31! Call me a sap, lol! I am just so awestruck by nature's beauty and splendour!
- Niagara Falls! Now, that was a fabulous experience!!
