Overview
About Me
My name is Kim and I live together with my daughter Ayrin in a small harbour village on the west coast of the Netherlands. We feel priviliged living here since we are surrounded by forest, meadows, dunes and the beach.
Currently, I am studying Social Work as a bachelor and I work both as a coach in youth services and for people with dementia, autism, etc.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Although I have never used Couchsurfing myself, I have had the privilige to host several beautiful, interesting people from all walks of life and from all parts of the world. In a world full of turmoil, where it is easy to loose sight of the other person and to get disconnected and estranged from one another, providing a home for a stranger feels like the right thing to do. To stay open and tolerant to people from different cultural and religious backgrounds is important. I want to play my part in a kind world by providing a safe, welcoming and comfortable place to stay whilst getting to know the other person.
What I Can Share with Hosts
When you stay with us, you will have your own bedroom. Other facilities are shared. You're free to come and go as you please, you will have your own spare key to the house. Since I am quite busy with studying, working and taking care of my daughter, I won't often be able to join you in any sightseeing etc. but I can give you tips on where to go. I don't expect you to join us for a meal or anything, but you are more than welcome to!
Although we consider ourselves as a welcoming bunch, we do want to stress that we don't want partypeople who visit Amsterdam for a weekend to do a drugstrip or anything 😉. Other than that, come on down!
