I've lived in the United States most of my live. In 2014, I recieved a degree in Environmental Engineering with minors in Mathematics and Renewable Energy from UW-Platteville. So you can imagine, I'm a bit of nerd and definitely into nature and sustainability. I really started getting into traveling and backpacking when I studied abroad in New Zealand a few years back and haven't stopped since.

Currently, I am serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Namibia near Katima-Mulilo. Mathematics and agriculture are the two subjects I teach to 5th and 6th graders and I'm loving every minute of it however difficult it can be at times.

Traveling and meeting new people is a huge passion of mine. By coach surfing, you get better acquainted with an area as a local knows the places to see, where to eat and events to go to. Plus, you aren't doing all the tourist things, but really getting to know the place.

I love yoga, traveling, rugby, hiking, backpacking, eating new foods (especially chocolate), dancing, and experiencing new things. Meeting new people is of course incorporated into all of these activities.

Really, I love all types. I grew up on a farm, so I'm into old country (Johnny Cash style), but jazz, pop, classical are all epic too. As for movies, I'm more into action, but of course chick flicks, mystery, scary, drama are all fun too. I just read the Song of Ice and Fire book series and loved it! Adventure definitely has a calling for me.

When I lived in the U.S., I did a ton of skydiving. I currently have my Class A skydiving license. Also, I played rugby for 4 years and absolutely love the sport!

I've been in Peace Corps for a year now and certainly have learned a lot. Patience is a skill to have. You learn so much from others just by listening and observing. Understand who you are, because you ultimately decide that, not someone else. And lastly, adventure is out there. All you have to do is reach out and grasp it.
