About Me
Hi there,
If I had to describe myself in a few words, I'd say I'm curious, outgoing and always willing to try something new. I'm whether completely introvert nor extrovert. I love meeting people and discovering new places, but I'm not into parties or drinking alcohol. You're more likely to find me outdoors (probably on my bike) or at university.
My main interests are cycling, drinking tea, studying and vegan baking. I enjoy talking about all sorts of things and listening to people, preferably during an evening walk. I love long conversations about sociological topics. I am passionate about methods, but also very interested in poverty and wealth, life courses, inequalities and conflicts. Another thing I love is making plans or helping to make plans. Be it a trip or any other plan, I am in :)
I am a member of couchsurfing because I like the idea of community. Travel does not have to be commercialised. Hosting and visiting, sharing culture and experiences are valuable resources that make travel so special and that we should not give up. Making memories together is what it's all about 💖
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm looking forward to meeting new people and having great talks and experiences together.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like reading non-fiction books and scientific articles.
I'm mostly into punkrock music, my favorite bands are zebrahead, Itchy and the Baboon Show.
You will never see me watching a movie or Netflix. That's probably because I'm way more interested in experiencing my own stories instead 😅😇
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
🎥 I was an actor in a short film about the Ruhr area, structural change and climate protection.
🧑🏫 I taught English to children in Uzbekistan.
🕌 Traveling to Samarkand and Tashkent to admire the architecture and culture.
🚵 I cycled from Mülheim to Arnhem with a good friend.
🇱🇹 Solotrip to Vilnius and visiting a huge botanical garden there.
🏞️ Hiking to a beautiful waterfall in Croatia on adventure trails.
☕ Having very strong coffee and visiting islands with my best friend in Stockholm.
Teach, Learn, Share
Cultural and local knowledge (Ruhr Area), Language (both German and English), cakebaking, sharing moments and experiences. I can also teach you embroidery or linoleum cutting and printing. Above that I'm always happy to have intensive conversations about your interests, society/cultures or travel experiences 😇
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can show you my hometown Duisburg, the culture of the Ruhr Area and how to bake delicious vegan cakes. The Basics of vegan baking are easy and once you get it, the opportunities are limitless 🍰
We can do a bike tour to all the interesting places of the city or to other Cities, to discover them and have good food their. I have two extra bikes (mid-size) and we could also lease bikes :)
I'm also enthusiastic about your ideas! :)
