Hiya! My name is Kim and I’m a chill, very easy-going person and open-minded person. I love travelling and as of current, I’ve backpacked two countries by myself: Belgium and Italy. I love meeting new people, exploring different cultures and learning new languages. I speak Spanish quite well and am currently learning Italian and French. I was born in the UK but my parents are from Jamaica and Panama so I consider myself to be Jamaican, English and Panamanian all equally. I’m new to Couchsurfing so I’d appreciate staying with people who are understanding!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The best parts of travelling are always meeting the people. I want to have beautiful, existential and meaningful conversations in beautiful places and make friends all around the world. I want to travel in a more authentic way and meet people who I otherwise would have never met where I live. Plus, I want to know what it feels like to be a resident of the countries I visit.

Don’t really watch a lot of TV but really interested in foreign language TV series and movies and always down for a suggestion. My favourite genre of film is psychological thriller so Gone Girl, Shutter Island etc

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ahhh.... Well, the best is very much yet to come but I would have to say was travelling solo in Italy and visiting three different cities. Snorkelling in Jamaica is also up there.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love baking and singing and I’d be more than willing to share those passions with other people. I speak English quite well and was an English tutor for about a year. I love dancing and would love to learn how to dance better and to do more partner work in the future. I want to see someone’s city from their own perspective. I don’t have too many things I can teach but I love to learn and would love to share people’s passions with them. Show me what you love to do and I’ll probably fall in love with it also.
