About Me

CURRENT MISSION

travel as much as i can!

ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Kim, and I'm currently working as a English language assistant in Bordeaux, France. I studied abroad for a year in Bordeaux in college, so it is wonderful to come back. I've been so fortunate to travel around Europe during my time here, and I've met some wonderful friends and seen amazing things throughout the course of my travels. I've stayed with incredibly welcoming hosts, got the local low-down on culture, restaurants and city hotspots, and every trip I've taken has been very rewarding. I'm open to meeting new people across the world, and I would be more than happy to pass on any helpful advice to travelers to Bordeaux, or other cities I've traveled to. Happy surfing!

PHILOSOPHY

People are unique and fascinating, and I find that this is never more true than when I'm traveling and experiencing new things left and right. And cities are as unique as the people they welcome, and each city impacts people in different ways. I know I'm always influenced by each place I visit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In Bordeaux, I'm up for grabbing coffee with other couchsurfers and sharing travel experiences!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed in the fall and it could not have been a better experience! My host was welcoming and gave us great city tips. We met fascinating people and their stories were unbelievable.

Interests

I really love music (especially live music!) and cinema particularly, especially cool international indie stuff. I love long rambling conversations over espresso and exploring old parts of cities.

Music, Movies, and Books

So many! Music includes the Black Keys, Ben Howard, The Fugees, mostly alternative with solid 90s hip hop mixed in for good measure. Currently reading L'ecume des jours by Boris Vian and the new JK Rowling novel. Films... too many! Boston classics like Good Will Hunting, but also foreign films like Tabu, Biutiful, Rome Open City, The 400 Blows, anything from the French nouvelle vague...
