ABOUT ME

I'm a friendly 20-something year old vegosaurus living in the capital of Oz - Canberra, dreaming of being a travelling space cowboy. I recently left my job as a HR Consultant to travel to the States. I'm also a complete coffee addict, love to quote obscure TV shows and movies and am always searching for great food (and life!) experiences.

In my downtime I enjoy watching too much TV to be considered healthy, reading, redditing, cycling, walking my puppy Odin, sewing dresses, dancing and being as creative as I can.

My friends would describe me as kind, cheeky, (in)appropriately humored and a good cook.

I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up and I doubt I ever will! I'd like to think that as long as I'm enjoying the now I'm content with not knowing.

PHILOSOPHY

I've spent a lot of time daydreaming about what I want to do or how I want to live without actually doing it. I'm now at the stage we're I'm happy, confident and comfortable enough to finally let go a little and actually *do* these things.

My personal philosophy would be to occasionally ignore that voice of caution and be free.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've not had the opportunity to host anyone yet purely due to my current accommodation situation. When I get back from my next big trip (Europe and Canada - 2014) I hope to host people in my Canberra pad. My first couchsurfing experience was so positive and wonderful that I want to be able to offer the same love, time and friendship to couchsurfers!

In the meantime I'm totally keen to show people around, take a scenic drive to top of Mount Ainslie and make new friends with anyone visiting Canberra.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

AMAZING! I've only had one couchsurfing experience so far but it was truly the best of times (and hopefully I'll have more soon!).

My host was kind, funky and free-spirited - all qualities I hope to have as a future couchsurfing host.

Interests

Like most couchsurfers I love travelling!

I enjoy riding my bicycle and walking around in Canberra to take in the beautiful city. My creative outlets include sewing and cooking. I'm interested in architecture and interior design (I'm a BIG Grand Designs fan). I love relaxing in my pj's with a great book and glass of wine, wandering around obscure galleries and markets and having great conversations with friends and strangers alike. I'm also a closet and very much beginner gamer.

I've had the luck of seeing the Northern Lights in Iceland a number of times. Experienced the serenity of the southern country-side in Vietnam and eaten my way through the UK, SE Asia and Scandinavia.
