Hello,
Welcome to our humble home. We live in a great area of Tennessee! Not many surfers come this way, yet! We have plenty of room for families or groups. The space is not soundproof, but there are privacy barriers. My home is large, with several nooks which are perfect for accommodating travelers. We have a two-story home with a basement. We all love music and have several instruments to share and play with. Our walls are primer painted or primed for paint, and the kitchen is more than functional but interesting looking. We like to make cooking easy and fun, so we have great tools. I am doing the work myself and learning as I go. The process is slow but fun! Our home is comfortable and open. It is welcoming and clean, though, like life, occasionally messy. I have a dog; she is friendly and not allowed on the furniture. We have seven twin mattresses (most of them are comfortable), a fold-out queen, a sleeping pad, and a few more couches. The mattresses will be on a clean floor, though two are up on frames. We have hosted many foreign exchange groups and traveling college groups, as well as a few bands. My children are young adults or older teens. We have a tv, but not in the main living space. We don't really watch t.v.
I don't know of public transportation where we are.
**** I've done a similar drive. Ocean Side, Ca to Maine. We traveled through Kansas. I don't recommend that. I am in Tennessee. If ya'll take a route that brings you this way, swing on in! It should be a blast now that things are opening up again.

I am here because I have two brothers who did this first heading to China. They swore by it, but I was hesitant. I do have three kids and I am their only parent. Now they are old enough and looking for adventure. We love meeting new people and learning. I also love to save money and help others whenever possible, it's just a win-win.

音乐、电影和书籍

I have no real favorites, I don't watch much in the way of movies or tv. I can honestly say I listen to just about every type of music played in the USA. Books are another thing altogether. I read at least 1 a week. I am really enjoying Stephen King's book On Writing. He would tell me to get rid of really in that last sentence. He also swears a lot, but is hilarious!

Taught kids to save their own life with swimming skills and used my skills for water therapy for special needs in several countries.

We have much to learn. We are all interested in many topics and open to discovering more.
I can teach you water skills, bible stuff, or nutrition. I can also help with the lay of the land here, though I am still learning myself.
I can share what I am reading and many resources.

I have a fold out couch, and occasionally a few extra beds. The door will be open, coffee easy to access and the kitchen is there for any who desire to enter.
