I'm Kim, and I'm from Saint Petersburg Florida but currently live in Denver, Colorado. I moved out to Denver to enjoy nature, hiking, and explore a new a part of the United States that has been foreign to me. I love learning the culture and lay out of cities that are new to me.

I'm couch surfing because I believe spending time with locals of a city, town or country is the best way to experience your travels. When I lived in Guatemala one of the best parts was living with a host family and getting to know their daily lives, traditions, and local meals. Since then while traveling I have always wanted to stay with locals to get a broader experience of my travels. I have hosted one couple from England so far and It was one of the best experiences. I hosted them when I lived in Baltimore, Maryland.

During sting ray mating season, I was sitting on the beach with my dog and a group of sting rays came and side swiped us with their wings. It freaked my dog out so much that he climbed up my shoulder and laid across my back and neck.
