I'm a photojournalist, a writer, a reader, an artist. A traveler myself, I have traveled to more than 10 states in the US after moving here from Malaysia for about a year. I started Couchsurfing after graduating from college two months ago and have met many wonderful people on my adventures.

Before embarking on this journey to America, I've traveled most parts of Southeast Asia and backpacked Europe using my hard-earned money from working as a barista and a communication strategist.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Having hosted, stayed with, and hung out with multiple couchsurfers, I realize how difficult and sometimes conflicting it is for woman-identified traveled to feel safe on the road. Especially in the United States. I also realize somehow many Couchsurfing hosts tend to have expectations on their guests. I believe as a part of a traveling community, guests should be able to feel safe and have their freedom to embark on their very own version of travel stories as long as they respect the host and home.
