Music, Movies, and Books

American 90’s kid sitting firmly in the Xennial lane. Stories told through each of these mediums can be one of the MOST moving things you can experience by proxy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been in the room when 4 amazing souls come into the world, and I’ve been there when three have left it (all in medical settings). All these experiences will break you open with tremendous feelings of either joy or grief. Being there or not isn’t something you get to redo.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’ve been a bit of an advocate for folks at home in the states, especially when it comes to things like long-term care. So, I can speak to similar issues from that perspective.

What I Can Share with Hosts

More than anything, I genuinely enjoy connecting with people and hearing their stories! My day job for the past 19+ years has been all about human services and advocacy, so I've become a pretty good listener and love a good, thoughtful conversation. I'm fascinated by different perspectives and experiences – probably why my background also touches on storytelling and even a bit of media creation.

So, what can I share? Definitely some interesting stories (if you're up for them!), an empathetic ear, and a genuine curiosity about your world and experiences. I'm also happy to chat about community work, communication, or even swap ideas on creating engaging content if that's your thing. Most importantly, I aim to be a respectful and tidy guest who truly appreciates the spirit of Couchsurfing and the generosity of hosts. I also believe open communication about expectations and boundaries from the outset helps ensure a wonderful and comfortable experience for both of us. Looking forward to making a connection!
