About Me

Hi! Hola! Salam! Tere! Konichiwa! Guten Tag!
IG: kimmon_20

I'm Hakimi. I'm still new to this app. Found it early this year but never really had the chance to host or surf. When I return to my own country Malaysia, I will definitely host people because I have a bigger room.

I'm a 27 years old Malaysian currently pursuing master's degree at Warwick Business School, UK and will be graduating in Sept 23'. I refer myself as an explorer - studied bachelor and worked in Japan, and now in the UK. West and East. I take what is good and leave the bad.

I have decided to return to Malaysia in October. But, before that, I will embark on a long travel in Europe covering more than 12 countries.
During my younger days, I didn't travel much as I was focusing on my education and saving money. So far, I've travelled to only 10 countries. Now, I really appreciate my time and will travel whenever possible. But I'm also aware of my financial status and try to balance between travel and saving money for retirement.

What can I contribute?
1) I can speak Japanese and English, and my own native language Malay. So I'm more than happy to teach you Japanese and share my experience studying and working in Japan.
2) I have three years experience investing in the stocks market and a candidate for CFA Level 1. So I share my knowledge on finance, some accounting and econs. I love econs btw.

My perspective in life is to be a person that benefits other people. That's for me, the best human being. In term of personal finance, my outlook is your money isn't your own until you spent it. So do save money for retirement, but enjoy from time to time. And don't inherit too much money to your kids ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

Creating a world without poverty
I'm still reading this book. This book is quite heavy but it resonates well with my principle and values.

Curious Case of Benjamin Button - this movie for me is one of the best movies in the world. There were excitement but at the same time tons of things to reflect upon. It teach you to appreciate every moment of this life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went solo hiking for Pico del Teidi in Tenerife and drove through the mountainsides roads dark at night. It's more crazy than amazing 🤣
