ABOUT ME

I'm not good at talking about myself. I had the hardest time doing that for college apps. Anyway, my family's from Bangladesh, I was born in NYC and currently live in Brooklyn. I'm 21, attending college and am a senior. Two more semester and I'll be a graduate, hopefully! I also work at a day care with children from ages of 2 weeks to 3 years. My title there is a "teacher" as I'm supposed to teach them how to be decent people and I take my job really seriously because I do believe that everything starts in childhood. I'm mostly absorbed in one thing at a time and generally can't multi-task.

PHILOSOPHY

I cannot fit my philosophy into a box. This is something I believe one can only understand about me once they have met me once or twice.

Interests

I enjoy art of any form. I really love drawing and painting and I am an avid fan of music though I can not create any myself. I love to read but for hobby, text book reading is most often entirely boring. I spend a lot of my free time on the internet looking at artwork of others and reading about new music and I adore looking at food recipes and pictures of places people have been to.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: The Maine, rock&roll, instrumental. I listen to music from all sorts of languages. Really, if it's something that gets me into a groove, then, I'll listen to it.

I don't really care so much about movies. I'll watch them if someone wants me to go with them. The only movies I ever really cared about were Matilda and the Harry Potter series. I also don't watch movies often.

I like to read stuff from all genres. I can't really nutshell my likes in books but I enjoy fiction and philosophical/psycholocial texts. I'm currently reading Looking For Alaska, if that means anything...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To be honest, it's a miracle that I wake up every day. Naturally, it's a phenomena that I'm not dead yet....i don't mean to be morbid or anything, it's just that so many horrible horrible things can happen, yet so much more good exists...so many positive things exist and happen along with the bad. The natural order and balance of this planet I am fortunate to inhabit will always amaze me.
