ABOUT ME

Hello! This is a long overdue update; my husband Pete and I went off on our travels in June 2008 to North America and then onto Australia. We worked on a summer camp in North America and then travelled across the states afterwards, meeting the most amazing people and some incredibly generous couch surfers. We've been back in the UK for about a year and now live in the vacinity of Hatfield in Hertfordshire (just north of London). We are both visual artists; myself a fiber/textile artist and Pete is a portrait painter. I am also doing my PGCE at the moment to become a Primary school teacher.

Art is our passion and a lot of our travels are based around museum visits. Our other passion is good, local, well cooked food and a nice relaxing glass of red :)

The unverified status is due to me trying to change my name and address on here - when we were travelling we weren't married - now we are and so I am now Kim Keegan!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We've been hosted a couple of times in the states and now we'd like to host some people here. Our flat is fairly small but we do have a spare room that doubles up as my office - so long as my study timetable allows it, we would love to host some couchsurfers.

Climbed Half Dome in Yosemite National Park. Everything we saw and did in Australia - snorkelling, riding in a helicopter, cuddling a baby Kangaroo

Enseña, aprende, comparte

Well I'm a trainee Primary teacher so let's hope I can teach! :) I love knitting and know quite a bit about knitted art. I enjoy all crafts generally. Pete is a portrait painter and originally from Wales and currently works for a puzzles and games company, so we always have new games in the house! We would be able to show people around bits of London (time permitting) and could definitely recommend a good gallery or two! Combined, we have quite an extensive knowledge of the UK, particularly the royal family and south Wales. We love answering questions about our country so ask away :)
