Overview
About Me
I’m a civil engineer from South Korea who’s passionate about travel, languages, and connecting with people from all over the world. I work in an overseas business division and love discovering different cultures — both for work and for fun.
I’ve traveled through many countries, including a long bicycle trip across Europe and a one-year world journey that completely changed how I see life.
I enjoy meaningful conversations, local food, and exchanging travel stories over a drink. I’m always open-minded, respectful, and excited to meet new friends wherever I go.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’ve always been someone who values stability and planning — living a steady and well-organized life has always given me peace of mind. But recently, I made a big decision: I left my stable job to start something new.
I’m now preparing for a new business and, at the same time, trying to pursue one of my long-lost dreams — becoming a YouTuber who shares stories about travel.
Traveling has always been a huge part of my life, but over time, many of those memories have started to fade.
That’s why I want to capture my new adventures on video — to keep them alive and share them with others.
Couchsurfing naturally fits who I am: someone who loves meeting new people, sharing cultures, and exploring the world together. If you also believe in meaningful connections and spontaneous adventures, maybe we can create some unforgettable memories together.
Interests
My current goal is to start a YouTube project where I meet travelers from the countries I’ve visited in the past. I want to share my old travel memories and listen to their stories about their home countries.
Even though I’m now living in Korea, I hope this project will bring back the feeling of traveling the world again — through meaningful conversations, nostalgia, and new friendships with people from all over the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I actually have not just one, but two amazing things I’ve done in my life.
The first was my very first overseas trip — a bicycle journey across Europe in 2013. For about two months, I traveled by bike and used Couchsurfing and WarmShowers to meet locals, spend time with them, and make incredible memories. That experience became a turning point in my life and helped me improve my English even more.
The second was my year-long world trip from 2017 to 2018. It was a big adventure and one of the most amazing things I’ve ever done — starting from Russia and Ukraine, then through Europe, Africa, South America, and finishing in North America. It completely changed my life.
I’d love to share more stories about those journeys someday — maybe over a cold beer while exchanging travel experiences!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share good conversations, laughter, and stories from my travels around the world. I’ve been to many countries and love exchanging ideas about culture, food, and life experiences.
I also enjoy cooking simple Korean dishes and introducing people to my country’s food and culture.
As someone who has worked in international business, I love talking about travel, technology, and creative ideas. I’m always happy to help with practical things or share tips about visiting Korea.
Most of all, I value genuine connections — I believe that the best part of Couchsurfing is not the place, but the people we meet along the way.
