About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm studying abroad in London right now but want to travel to as many places as I can because who knows when I will get another opportunity like this again!
ABOUT ME
I am studying at University of Westminster in London until June, 2009. I'm taking classes in business, which is my minor. My major is art history but Westminster doesn't offer classes in that course, unfortunately. I love London and can't wait to explore it more, but I'm also very eager to go and explore the rest of Europe :)
I have lived in Illinois my entire life; first in the suburbs of Chicago and then in Chicago when I started school at DePaul University.
I'm a pretty easy going person. I don't feel the need to be the center of attention and I really enjoy listening to other people's thoughts and stories.
I love studying art, and while I may not be "talented" at it, I also enjoy making it. I try to find beauty in every place that I visit.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm trying to live in the moment and find happiness in everything I do as opposed to waiting for something big to happen.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new to couch surfing but it seems like the most amazing way to travel. There isn't anything that can really compare to insider information from someone living in the city and when I go back to Chicago I plan on opening up my couch for people to surf at. Unfortunately, I don't think that we are allowed to host people in our dormitories (they're also barely big enough for one person!).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm hoping to fill this section in soon :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I love Harry Potter, I also have been getting into non-fiction books lately. I just finished Self-Made Man by Norah Vincent which was so interesting. My favorite authors would be Ray Bradbury, Kate Chopin and George Orwell.
As far as music, I like pretty much everything. My favorite musician is John Mayer. I love listening to new music and probably spend way too much money on it.
I really love going to see movies. I enjoy most types of movies besides gory scary movies like Hostel or Saw.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was in Grant Park when Obama won the election and saw him give his acceptance speech. Pretty amazing. We weren't expecting the announcement (even though by that time we were all pretty sure he was going to win) and then all of a sudden CNN announces "breaking news: Barack Obama has won the election" and my friend and I started jumping up and down and crying. It was seriously one of the coolest things I've ever experienced.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm sure that I could probably teach people things that I don't even know I'm teaching and I feel that I could learn things from people that they aren't intentionally teaching.
