Overview
About Me
I am a traveler and someone who is thirsty for knowledge and learning. I travel a lot for my career in international development, which means that I don't mind getting dirty (and have survived a few tropical diseases).
I am an ENFJ, which means I like talking to people and getting to know them through deep conversations. I am not judgmental and open minded about most everything.
I am a social person and enjoy meeting new people, but when I am staying somewhere or am at home, I tend to be quiet and enjoy my books and cooking. I also like to keep tidy and organized, but not obsessively.
I am not much of a drinker or party person, but I do love to find myself in explorations of new areas and trying out new activities with new people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am interested in meeting new people from other areas of the world while I travel. Hotels can be nice sometimes, but they take away from some of the more authentic explorations one can have while traveling.
Interests
I'm a pretty diverse person. My interests range from power tools to penguins; water and sanitation issues to pretty libraries; books to good movies; reiki to sword fighting; vegetables to delicious pastries. It's hard to list all of my interests, but the key for me is that I am willing and able to try things out that I find interesting and often quirky. I'm interested in knowledge and culture, which takes me on many different paths.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I moved my life to Rwanda for a position teaching math for a short time. It was amazing because I got out of my comfort zone and went into the unknown without much guidance, only to learn heaps about myself in the end.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share stories of my travels and life experiences, food, company, and cleaning house (it's a thing I actually enjoy doing sometimes).
