ABOUT ME

I think the best way to describe myself is to do a Top 10 list. I know that sounds pretty weird, but truthfully, without a good list, I would be all over the place. So here are my Top 10 Things About KindleKay
1. I love traveling and learning about new cultures. I try to spend time in Europe once a year, but the recession has sort of put a cramp in my style. Still, my heart beats for travel. I will go to most any country as long as I can meet fun, kind, adventurous, friendly people there.
2. I do not trust a person who doesn't like dogs. I think this one is self-explanatory. Why wouldn't you love a dog, anyway? Honest, unbridled love comes in the form of these furry, four-legged souls all the time. FYI, I have two little dogs that are the most wonderful creatures on Earth.
3. I have been known to change my mind over and over and over again. The latest victim of my indecisiveness: my career!
4. I love to dance, and am currently taking a few ballroom dance classes. It gives me tremendous joy. I also love all types of music… But nothing beats the 80’s/MTV era!
5. I am outgoing on the outside, but really shy on the inside. First dates are hard work for me, but I still like to think that I'm enjoyable to be around.
6. I have several lifelong dreams. I would love to be fluent in Spanish, have a vacation home in another country, own a pet pig (they are very smart animals), learn to sing, learn to sew, act in a play, experience motherhood, and have a wonderful husband with whom I am connected. Not necessarily in that order.
7. I am deathly afraid of heights. Deathly. Also, I have been known to procrastinate, but I'll get more into that later.
8. I have dated both inside and outside of my race, and have found both experiences to be very positive. I am open to getting to know all sorts of different people.
9. I was raised as on only child, so my extended family and friends mean the world to me. They are wonderful to be around, and I never met a person who didn’t laugh when they were around. 10. I am a Christian. I love God and try my best to be a good person. I’m not perfect, and I certainly have my vices. But I really respect the faith of others, and hope that people are respectful of my own.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy:
1.You only live once. So try things that you wouldn't normally try because life is too short to let is slip through your fingers.
2.Approach the world like a child. I would rather approach a situation as fresh and new than to be cynical. Besides, cynicism never really gets you far anyway.
3. All people are created equal.
4. You reap what you sew, and there is nothing good that comes from being knowingly hurtful to others.
5. Sometimes, it's better for everyone involved if you just let things roll off your back.
6. There are many soulmates,and many different kinds of soulmates. I'm enjoying several in my life right now.
7. The world's best medicine: laughter and prayer.
8. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I have recently become a member of couchsurfing.org , so I haven't been able to help build the website too much. But as far as people go, I have offered my home, my heart, my prayers. I figure those will take me a long way in this world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I usually stay with friends when I am visiting other countries. I love, love, love getting to know locals.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music and books so much that they are too numerous to name here. Suffice to say that I've read and like most any genre of both. And although I don't get to see movies much, there are a few that I remember and love. My all time favorie movie: The Notebook.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen people forgive others in my lifetime, and I've also had an opportunity to forgive others. I hope that people have forgiven me. Forgiveness, one of the most amazing things that mankind can do.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach my favorite poems. I can teach people how to take more chances. I can share my love for others. I can also share my respect for all creatures on the earth. I can learn to be more decisive and focused. So help me please!
