Overview
About Me
I am a recent graduate from the University of British Columbia and studied Engineering Physics. I was born and raised in Vancouver, and lived in Seattle for a short stint in the Tech Industry.
I will be moving to Calgary in August, and before work starts, I would like to explore the world a little before my career takes over.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
While it's great meeting international travelers in Hostels, meeting new people through Couchsurfing allows for the opportunity to learn about a new city through the perspective of a local. It is also great to be immersed and to learn about the culture and local customs, something that Hostel's lack since it caters to international travelers

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I'm a big fan of Indie Electronica, Hip-Hop, and House (UK Garage, Deep, French, Progressive) music. I am always a fan of jazz, classical, and of course old school tunes!
Books: Tipping Point, Outliers, Kitchen Confidential, Harry Potter
Movies: Pretty much anything! A several of my favourites are: LoTR series, Grand Budapest Hotel, Interstellar, Inception, The Dark Knight, Whiplash, Birdman, This is the End, Hot Fuzz, Die Hard (1/2/With A Vengeance), The Rock, and many more!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
For me personally was working for the Vancouver International Wine Festival this spring as a wine taster. It was a great experience to be embedded in the wine industry and learning about industry practices. Also, tasting wine from different parts of the world is a plus :P
Teach, Learn, Share
I have this obsession with everything wine, and I'm constantly trying to learn more. I can teach the basics of wine tastings and sensory exercises.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Conversations over a bottle of wine or beers - I also like to cook!
