About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To explore Canada and the World, and meet others.
ABOUT ME
- No smoking in the house.
- Kitchen available for light cooking.
- Please clean up after yourselves
- There are maps, brochures and books for you to consult.
- You can come and go as you please. There is no curfew - but please be respectful and quiet if you arrive late at night.
Year round I host visitors on their way to/from Tofino or Ucluelet [Ukee to the locals]. If you aren't looking for fancy, you'll find it here.
I have some traveling experience, but wish to do more. I have many interests. To list a few: art, science, amateur vintners and nature.
I never seem to be caught up on gardening as I often chose to take either a day trip to the westcoast of the island (say hello if you spot us in Tofino or Ucluelet)
At times I travel to gatherings or to the mainland to visit the extended family or bring one or both of my children to visit.
That being said, I often host with minimal notice, so feel free to contact me.
I have a eight-year-old daughter and twenty-two year-old son who has recently come to live with me. My home has three cats, Eric, Tony and Princess.
Various venues and family events take me around the Island and mainland. You may be surprised as to WHERE I might turn up.
PHILOSOPHY
If you aren't having lots of laughs in your life, you aren't doing it right!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am willing to host 1, 2, 3 or more people at our home for 1-7 days (maybe more). Right now I am usually only able to host Friday and Saturday nights.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have hosted several groups of couchsurfers and found the experience positive. I have always enjoyed meeting others and fitting into their homes. I am open to just sleeping at a person's home, or participating with them fully in their activities, it is up to them.
Interests
Art, gardening, sea and nature!
Life is meaningless without continuous learning, exploration, and discovery. This applies to yourself as well as the external world.
In no particular order, I feel fully alive when:
- travelling to somewhere new for the first time
- communicating and connecting on a deep level with someone
- having one of those days when everything just "goes right"
- I lose track of time outdoors in a spectacular natural setting
- meeting someone new who inspires me to live life to the fullest
- cats
- dogs
- arts
- books
- cooking
- gardening
- traveling
- outdoor activities
- cycling
- surfing
- track and field
- cartography
- science
