ABOUT ME

I am semi retired with my partner Bill, we moved to Picton Top of the South Island of New Zealand in 2008 from Auckland. Picton is where the ferrys leave the South Island for Wellington bottom of the North Island of New Zealand. We are blessed with the beautiful Marlborough Sounds on our doorstep. Fresh fish is caught daily. Green Lip Mussels a local and international delicacy are farmed in the sounds along with fresh salmon.Wild deer,rabbitts,hares,goats and wild pigs are in the hill country behind Picton a game shooters paradise.We enjoy partaking in community activities, selling foods at local Farmer Markets relaxing and enjoying the Marlborough Sounds and Picton. We also host visitors to our lovely village.

PHILOSOPHY

Dont forget the simple things in life, be kind to those less fortunate than ourselves and never forget where you came from and where you are going.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been involved in Public life Local Government for 15 yrs enjoyed the times but delighted it is over. I had an interesting catering career for 30 plus yrs and still particapate on a smaller scale than I did.Hospitality and catering for peoples needs has been my life experiences. We have no children by choice.
