Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Experience everything once. Again if I liked it.
ABOUT ME
I'm witty and curious. I try to live in the moment, and I always have something to say.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in continuous self-improvement, for both physical skills and mental processes. Be it by practicing something I already know how to do, by learning a new skill, or by simply exposing myself to something novel, if I spend even 5 minutes on that in a day, that day is not wasted.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am fairly new to Couchsurfing so I'm still slowly getting involved. I want to host people, and I've surfed a couple of times.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've only surfed a couple of times so far, but haven't had an opportunity to host yet, though I'd like to. For some reason, people only ask to stay with me when I already have plans to be out of town!
Interests
I'm really into languages. It's my goal to one day be able to greet people and have a basic conversation in all of the major languages. I speak fluent Russian and Hebrew (and English, of course), so-so German, somewhat worse Spanish, and can read French. I'm slowly learning to read Chinese now.
Another great passion in my life is aesthetics. That comes in many forms, including photography and visual art, as well as the appreciation of pure experiences. It's difficult to explain in a few words. Ask me about it!

Music, Movies, and Books
I like primarily arthouse and independent films, but also B-movies.
I alternate reading 20th century novels and books about the brain.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently went on an amazing trip to Minsk, which is the city I was born in but left in early childhood. It was a whirlwind tour of emotions and experiences that shook me to the core. One of the many, many highlights was the evening we went to a dacha with about 20 other people. Great food, corny music, fresh air, Russian sauna and lots and lots of vodka.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you silly things, like how to juggle or to do the head bobble. Or I can try teaching you something from my professional life: abstract mathematics, programming concepts, proper email writing etiquette, etc. :)
I want to learn about languages (especially pronunciation), local cultural norms, and how to cook special dishes.
