Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Finishing a Ph.D. and learning as much as I can about the world--and somehow still affording living expenses.
ABOUT ME
I'm an adjunct professor of philosophy & religion, a grad student, travel nut, philosopher & musician.... if only ANY of these things paid more. Or, better yet, if only things cost less. I'm attempting to continue doing the things I love--namely, teaching and reading philosophy--while getting paid for it.
PHILOSOPHY
I think the world would be a better place if everyone thought of themselves as learners first.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted several people, with great experiences all the way around. I'm hoping to be able to do a bit more couchsurfing through Europe while I'm here...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Though I've never *officially* been a couchsurfer, I was traveling through the UK with a friend once and ended up being hosted by a local in Liverpool we met on the train because we had forgotten to book a hostel. His family was on holiday in New York at the time and he let us stay over the night since they weren't returning till the next morning. As we were having morning tea, the family returned home. It was sort of like the Three Bears coming home to find Goldilocks (and her friend) in their beds and eating their porridge. They were really wonderful, generous, and quite helpful, actually. It was a great experience.
